The “Genesis” 420 rudder stock was nominated and received “Special Mention” at the prestigious DAME awards last year. A year on and not only are the stocks being exported to China but are now being fitted by the largest producer of boats in Europe, Zeigelmayer. Ben Saxton has already clocked up an impressive track record with the stock – (1st UK Nationals & Youth Nationals, 2nd Europeans Championships).

The original concept for the stock was that it should be:

    Stiffer, and
    Stronger.

Than anything else available. The “Genesis” stock easily met all of these criteria.

Designed using the latest design technology from Cranfield University means that unwanted material could be removed from non-stressed areas of the stock. Then using ideas straight from the aerospace industry, use the design to strengthen high load areas.
